Second Generation Of Computer In 1948 transistor was invented which replace the vacuum tubes later, due to this size has been shilling and consumed less electricity. In 1958 magnetic core memory was developed which is used store data. Various assembly language program develop like a COBOL( common business oriented language), Forthan ( formula translation) , Pascal, etc. which replace the machine language. In this generation we built the computer business and University and government companies most popular manufacturers are controlled data Honeywell, IBM (international business machine) spery rand,etc example IBM 1401. It also consume more electricity and a space assembly language are difficult because it based on computer architecture .

Advantage of first generation computers are big in size but they perform function faster than human ,huge in size, consume more electricity machine dependent and works on machine language only.

how to make any file under the  selected directory? by edit command we can make any file in selected dir. syntax- edit blank space file name and press enter key
